HVAC PROJECT DESIGN ENGINEER

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility for this position is to support our existing customers and secondary to our sales department for acquiring new commercial, industrial and institutional projects and accounts. HVAC design engineers will work under instructions from design head for new or replacement heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems specific to customer needs and building specifications. Design Engineers will focus on solving problems related to air quality issues, environmental issues, or energy efficiency. The HVAC design engineer will need to work on residential, commercial, healthcare, hospitality and industrial projects. The tasks would include completing HVAC-related drawings, heat load calculations, preparing project estimates, generating BOQ’s from drawings and overseeing the installation of projects to completion.

Required qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required, graduate certificates also considered
  • Soft skills: AutoCAD, Rivet, BIM, MS Projects, Heat Load tools – HAP or equivalent
  • Job Skills: Communication, design, time management, project management
Required knowledge, skills, abilities
  • HVAC design engineers need to have outstanding communication and design skills. Computer-aided design skills are crucial, as are time management and project management skills in order to meet client and company needs promptly and efficiently.
